In order to provide an academically rigorous and developmentally responsive learning environment that meets the needs of every student, Indian Crest's eighth grade is organized into interdisciplinary teams. The make-up of each team consists of the following teachers.

• Language Arts
• Social Studies
• Science
• Math
• Learning Support

In addition to the core subjects all students are required to take the following classes.

• World Language (Spanish, German, French) or Reading (full year course)
• Health, Physical Education, and Flex (each meets two days out of a six day cycle)
• Accelerated Word/Excel (quarter course elective)

Students are also required to select elective courses. The elective courses are as follows.

Non Performing Arts Students
Three additional unified arts courses must be selected from the following four choices (Technology Education, Art, General Music, and Family and Consumer Science)

Performing Arts Students
Four quarters of the performing art of their choice (band, orchestra, chorus) and it will be mandatory for all students to take one quarter of Accelerated Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
