Below you will find explanations of responsibilities which members of student government have as part of the school organization.
Student Government Roles
Governor
- Presides over all student government meetings
- Represents our school
- Chairs all executive committee meetings
- Helps to create an agenda for all executive meetings
LT. Governor
- Represents the governor when the governor is unable to attend meetings
- Helps to make an agenda for the Weekly Executive Council Meetings
- Responsible for the attendance at the General Student Government Meetings
Secretary
- Keeps records of all student government meetings
- Distributes the records and other necessary information to class representatives
Assistant Secretary
- Assists the secretary in keeping records at the student government meetings
- Helps the secretary distribute the records other info to class reps
- Assumes responsibility if the secretary is unable to perform
Treasurer
- Keeps accurate records of all student government finances
- Reports on the finances, if asked to
Assistant Treasurer
- Helps Treasurer keep records of student government finances
- Assumes responsibility if the treasurer is unavailable to perform
Public Relations
- Carries on all correspondence on behalf of the student government
- Helps school become recognized in the community
