8th Grade Career Day

We are still looking for more volunteers to speak to our 8th grade on Career Day!  Please see the message below and reach out if you are interested!

Thank you for all of those who reached out to volunteer to speak to our 8th grade students on Career Day.  If you have reached out, we will be in touch with you to confirm and go over what to be prepared for that day.

Original Message:
In our upcoming 8th Grade Guidance class lessons, we look at Post-Secondary options as well as what skills are needed for employment.  Students are never too young to dream and set goals.  While they can turn on the TV and see celebrities as a role model, what could be better than seeing the parents of their peers talk with pride about what they do and how they got there.

Who we need:  Parents who like what they do for a living. Whether you work part-time or full time.   Whether you needed college, trade school, grad school, high school, tech training or specialized advanced training to get to where you are - we want to hear from you

When: Between 12:45p.m.-2:40p.m. (Blocks 6 and 7) on May 10, 2018.

Where:  Indian Crest Middle School

Fine Print: If you child is in 8th grade, you may/may not be speaking to your own child’s group.  We will do our best to arrange that.   We are looking for diversity so if we have 5 people of the same profession we may not need all 5 people.

How to get started:   Send an email to Mrs. Horton (shorton@soudertonsd.org) or Mr. Stanton (bstanton@soudertonsd.org)
