Mrs. Mary Moyer's ninth grade history honors classes have been afforded the opportunity to use the TurnItIn Web site as a learning tool where students will have the availability to submit reports and other work on line. The site acts as a safeguard for assisting students in submitting original material (i.e. not plagiarizing) and also gives them the ability to have their work edited prior to "turning it in" to Mrs. Moyer.

Currently, the high school uses the TurnItIn Web site and has had great success with the program. With our eye on the future and the ninth grade moving to the new high school in 2009, this is a pilot program for Indian Crest with the intent to implement the program whole scale with the ninth grade class in the 2008-09 school year. Mrs. Moyer will be unveiling the Web site to her classes the week of December 17, 2007 and will use the program for the remainder of this school year.

Mrs. Moyer and Principal Jeff Pammer are very excited to have the opportunity to pilot the TurnItIn Web site at Indian Crest. We encourage you and your son/daughter to visit the Web site at www.TurnItIn.com and navigate through the site. Look for more specifics about the program from Mrs. Moyer as she and the students use it on a regular basis.
