8th Grade Events

We are excited to plan some celebratory events for our 8th grade class this spring. We shared this information with 8th grade today during lunch and reviewed some guidelines to assure the events are a success and enjoyable for all. Please see information below.

8th Grade Dress-up Dance - May 13, 2022
Every year Student Government sponsors an end of year Dress-up Dance for 8th grade. The event is for Indian Crest 8th grade students and a way to celebrate the culmination of middle school. Additional information will be sent regarding cost and time. The 8th grade will have an opportunity to vote on a theme for the dance next week. The dress code for the event is listed below.

8th Grade Dance Dress Code

  • Girls
    • Appropriate length
    • No cut-outs at the midriff
    • Dress or skirt
  • Boys
    • Pants (no jeans)
    • Golf shirt or button-down shirt (tie optional)

8th Grade Field Trip - May 31, 2022
The 8th grade will go to Knoebels Amusement Park for their trip. Permission slips and information will be sent home by Monday, March 14. We know this is late notice and a quick turn-around for permission and payment. Please note we have tried to cut the cost, so the trip is affordable for all. If you need financial assistance, please contact your child's school counselor. This trip is typically $60 per student. We were able to secure funding for the buses so the cost this year will be $30 per student.

As in years past, all students are expected to continue to follow the Middle School Handbook. Students who are suspended from school (from this point forward) for violating the code of conduct will not be permitted to attend the 8th grade trip; additional details and information can be found on the permission slip.
