7th & 8th Grade Information for 2023-2024

Our website is a great tool for information. You can find Summer Reading Information, Upcoming Events, School Calendar and the latest news and announcements. Also, on the website is our school handbook including the school dress code.
Schedule Information
All student schedules will be available on Home Access Center on Monday, August 7th. Students can log in and view their schedule.
Lunch for 7th grade is 10:30-11:00, after block 2.
Lunch for 8th grade is 12:00-12:30, after block 4.
Advisory is where all students will start their day for the first two weeks of school. Beginning September 11th, Advisory will take place on Monday only. The rest of the week students will be in Focus activities. We will share additional information on selecting Focus activities at a later date.
If there is an error on your schedule related to music or related arts, we can easily fix it. Please just email your child’s counselor.

We put time and thought into team placement and balancing teams. We will not change student teams at this point.
School Supplies
The school supplies listed is a recommendation. Teachers may share additional suggestions.

Tours
Our building will be open Monday through Thursday, 8:30-3:00 beginning August 7th through August 22nd. We are closed for tours on Fridays. Tours are self-guided, and students must be accompanied by an adult. Please note our maintenance team is still working on preparing for opening day and some parts of the building could be closed. When visiting Indian Crest, please enter through the main office.
Fall Sports
- Athletic competitions are open to any seventh or eighth grade student.
- ALL FORMS ARE COMPLETED ELECTONICALLY on our website. Follow the link - Indian Crest Family ID Portal or go to Indian Crest website; click on athletics; look for the Family ID link and fill out all forms there electronically. Doctor’s physicals will need to be uploaded onto that site. If you have any problems with the Family ID Portal, please contact their support team at support@familyid.com or 1-888-800-5583, ext. 1.
- In order to participate, students must have had a doctor’s physical any time after June 1st of the upcoming school year (i.e. physical is after June 1, 2023 to compete in boy’s basketball in January 2024)
- There is a section to complete the student activity fee. No fees need to be paid to tryout. Just hit cancel when you get to that section, and it will take you to the end. Payment is only necessary after making the team. The current district cost is $175.00 and will cover a student athlete for the entire year. If finances are an issue, the office can address each case on an individual basis.
- If your student is trying out for a different sport in a subsequent season, all forms must be resubmitted online. In other words, each season of competition requires online forms to be completed. You only pay the fee once.
