PBIS Celebrations

This is year two of implementation of PBIS at Indian Crest.  PBIS is a Positive Behavior Intervention Support that aims for us to have shared core values that guide how we behave at school and assures consistent shared expectations.  Indian Crest’s Core Values are CARE, being considerate, accepting, respectful and engaged.  We celebrate students who go above and beyond and receive positive purple referrals each marking period.  Students also earn Crest Cash for displaying these values throughout the school day!  We are proud of our students for living Crest Kids CARE!

Review of Expectations

  • Hall Pass - 5 Star is our electronic hall pass system. It is how students sign in and out of classes, offices, nurse, etc.  We are able to monitor the amount of time students are out of the classroom.  We emphasized with students the importance of being in class to engage in learning. Students are expected to be on time for class and lunch.

  • Cell Phones – Students are not permitted to use cell phones during the school day.  Cell phones, air pods, headphones, etc. should be off and away from the time they enter the building until the 2:45PM bell.

  • Food/Drink – Students were reminded that food and drinks need to be consumed in the cafeteria.  Students cannot take open drinks, chip bags, carrots out of the cafeteria.  We have had some issues with messes in the bathroom and hallways from food leaving the cafeteria.
